LOCATION: Las Vegas, Nevada
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, Occasional Weekend Day

The Role
Sunbit, Inc., a rapidly growing FinTech startup, is looking for an organized, ambitious, and service oriented Director of Collections for our Las Vegas, Nevada office. The Director of Collections will be responsible for leading a team of collections professionals and setting the strategic vision for our collections department. The successful candidate will be someone who has a strong track record of reducing delinquency rates, improving processes for efficiency, and creating a high-performing culture.
Requirements
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Collections team and provide ongoing coaching and development to team members
- Develop and implement collections strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives
- Develop KPIs and testing plans to measure the effectiveness of the collections strategies, and optimize them over time
- Using a data-driven approach, implement new collections processes and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor compliance with state and federal collections laws and regulations
- Co-manage vendor relationships for collections-related services
- Create a culture of accountability and high performance within the collections team
- Work cross functionally with other departments, such as Operations, Analytics, Marketing, Tech, and Legal, to reduce delinquency rates and improve customer satisfaction
- Clearly and succinctly communicate complex ideas to senior leadership and external stakeholders, while also fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture
- Act as Operational lead for cross-functional Collections working group, representing the front-line team
- Monitor emerging trends in collections treatment and technology across the industry
What You Bring To The Table:
- 8+ years’ direct management experience in loan servicing and collections, additional Call Center leadership experience a plus
- Must have strong executive presence and be able to effectively manage up and represent the collections team’s perspective in cross-functional meetings
- Experience leading a team of collections professionals
- Strong knowledge of state and federal collections laws and regulations
- Experience with collections software and technologies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer and analytical skills
- Excellent organization and leadership abilities
- Great people skills and ability to build rapport and strong relationships across the organization
- Knowledge of Five9 and Verint is a plus
