Applicants must be 18 or older, as required by state law, and provide a valid email address, mobile phone number, and street or AFO/APO address. Loans are not available in or to residents of US territories.
Based on merchant participation and creditworthiness, the following interest-free options may be provided. State restrictions, provided above, may also affect eligibility:
- True 0% APR. No interest is charged or accrued during the promotional period, which means the balance remains interest-free until the promotional term ends. Like with all of our plans (non-promotional and promotional), True 0% APR does NOT charge any fees, penalty interest, or penalty APR.
- Avoid Paying Interest. Interest accrues starting from the purchase date but if you successfully pay an amount equal to the financed amount (in one or more payments) before the promotional period ends, then your loan will be satisfied and you will not have to pay any interest or finance charges. Like with all of our plans (non-promotional and promotional), Avoid Paying Interest does NOT charge any fees, penalty interest, or penalty APR.
- Conditional Interest Forgiveness (No longer offered as of March 2024. Available only at certain participating car dealership groups.) This program offers a waiver of interest if the financed amount is paid in full within one month. If unpaid after this period, interest will apply. Like with all of our plans (non-promotional and promotional), Conditional Interest Forgiveness does NOT charge any fees, penalty interest, or penalty APR.
Loan Example: A $580 purchase with a 33% APR, $116 payment at checkout, and 12-month term would have monthly payments of $45.92 and a total cost of $667.07. A $381.68 purchase with 0% APR, $114.50 down payment and a 3-month term would have monthly payments of $89.06 and a total cost of $381.68. Actual terms may vary.
When you check your eligibility, a soft credit inquiry will be performed, which means your credit score will not be affected. However, if you accept a financing offer, it may impact your credit, as account openings and payment activity may be reported to a major credit bureau.
California, Connecticut, Maine, Minnesota, New Jersey, and New York Consumers: If a loan is in the healthcare category, Sunbit will not report account opening, payment activities, or any portion of the debt to a consumer reporting agency. If any part of a loan in the healthcare category has been reported by Sunbit to a consumer reporting agency, the portion reported is void.
Loans are made by Transportation Alliance Bank Inc. dba TAB Bank, which determines qualifications for and terms of credit.
