Celebrating its tenth anniversary, PHD Dental Group grew from one location to a multi-specialty practice with four locations and a fifth on the way. This dental chain prides itself on being a one-stop-shop for dental needs, but, with many of its stores in lower socioeconomic areas, essential services were often declined. With access to financing through Sunbit, PHD’s patients have increased their purchasing power, leading to more quality care, while spreading the cost over time.

In the first two weeks offering Sunbit technology, PHD Dental generated an additional $67,912 in revenue, lifting sales more than 30%.

A Stress-Free Check-out Process

Before Sunbit, the checkout experience at PHD was stressful. With other financing tools, PHD saw 30-40% of its patients approved for financing. Customers and staff were uncomfortable with the process of asking invasive questions as part of the application process only to find out many patients were denied.

Since offering Sunbit technology, the checkout experience has improved dramatically. With a 90% approval rating, PHD can confidently provide care to a new market of previously underserved and unserved patients. Employees also feel good knowing they can provide better quality care and not decline patients in need.

Ready to Break Records With Sunbit

PHD always recognized the importance of training its sales team for results, and with Sunbit, their sales performance went quickly to new heights. But, only a few weeks into offering Sunbit technology, COVID-19 hit, forcing the chain to close its doors for two months.

“We were ready to break goals this year with Sunbit. With the majority of our patients approved for financing, we expected to double our revenue by June or July 2020,” says Carmen Rubio, Regional Manager at PHD Dental Group.

As the chain reopened in early May amid the economic downturn, PHD knew that patients would rely on Sunbit technology even more. Customers’ ability to spread payments over time helped the team generate an extra $30K in revenue with Sunbit the first month back in business.

PHD Dental may have to extend its revenue goal date a few months given the setback, but they know Sunbit technology will be a valuable tool well into the future.
